Hanson Parent/Teacher conferences will be held in the HS gym on Wednesday March 17th. School will dismiss at 12:15 that day and conferences will run from 12:30-6:30 p.m. Masks are required.
The SDHSAA, the Huron School District and the Huron Chamber & Visitors Bureau would like to encourage your support in keeping our athletes and each other safe. I would like to take this opportunity to make you, your school, and community aware of the Covid Crusher award that will be designated to the participating school that exhibits the best participation and cooperation with the SDHSAA mask requirement in the Arena. A panel of observers from the SDSHAA, Huron Community, and Tournament Officials will be monitoring throughout the tournament and will announce the team/school award at the completion of the championship match on Saturday. Gift cards will also be given during each game to fans exemplifying good safety protocol. A special thanks to the Huron Chamber and Visitors Bureau for their support and assistance
The following is information regarding the Girls State Tournament in Huron this week that we are to pass on to fans:
The Balcony seats are general admission for all spectators for all sessions. The main floor bleachers are reserved for the spectators of the teams who are playing. The Bleachers will be cleared after each game during the tournament.
Masks are required for all spectators.
Congrats to those representing Hanson in the conference quiz bowl coming up on Monday.
There will be a short send off for the Girls Basketball team on Wednesday morning at 8:25 before they leave. Parents/community members are welcome to attend and should sit on the west end of the bleachers. Good luck girls!
A.H.hhh Dance senior team tryouts for the 2021-22 school year are coming up. Any girls who will be in grades 9-12 next year are welcome to attend and tryout:

Great job by our middle school Oral Interp team at the Cornbelt Conference Meet on Thursday collecting "Top Superior" which means best individual in the division in 3 out of the 8 divisions! For tonight's SODAK 16 GBB game in Huron please do not sit in the bleacher area until the first game is over and the spectators from the first game move out of the area. Seating area will be marked for Hanson and will be across from the team bench. Huron is not restricting the number of spectators at games but everyone MUST WEAR A MASK. This is a city and school mandate.

The CHS Harvest for Hunger Food Drive begins today and will run through March 12th. K-12 students should bring items to their teachers/advisors classrooms for collection. CHS also donates cash to the local food pantry based on the amount of items we collect. The Elem and MS/HS class that collects the most will be treated to Ice Cream treats! Your help in this food drive is appreciated!

Today is Dr. Suess' Birthday. It is also "Read Across America" day. The elementary is celebrating with collaborative activity called "One Book One School" We will be reading "The World According to Humphrey" We encourage everyone to pick up a book today and READ!!!!

Hanson will host Oldham-Ramona/Rutland tonight at 7:00 for a Region 4B Boys basketball game. 7:00 start, no attendance limit, masks required. Adults $6, Students $4. Hanson activity passes will not be honored since this is an SDHSAA post season event.
Hanson boys bb will host the winner of ORR VS Colman-Egan in Alexandria on Tuesday night at 7:00 in Region 4B action.
