Two Hanson girls wrestlers, Sage Haiar and Kathryn Jarding, traveled to Pierre on Friday, January 24, to wrestle in the 2025 Governor Girls Invite.
Haiar wrestled in the 114B pound weight class. Results for Haiar were: won by fall (2:59) over Mireya Lebeaux of Miller Area; lost by fall (1:34) to Layla Crowe of Kingsbury County; won by fall (0:55) over Adela Ramirez of Sully Buttes; lost by fall (1:40) to Abby Blaha of Pierre T.F. Riggs.
Jarding 132C pound weight class. Results for Jarding were as follows: won by fall (1:31) over Hope VanHoepen of Sioux Valley; lost by fall (2:47) to Ava Wilbur of Rapid City Stevens; and lost by decision (10-9) to Adeline Lyons of Harding County.
Haiar and Jarding both placed third overall in their weight classes.
