The Hanson high school volleyball team took on the Bon Homme Cavaliers on Monday, October 7, in Alexandria.
The Hanson varsity won in three sets against the Cavaliers with set scores: 25-17, 25-23, and 25-16. Jazzy Campbell led the team in kills with 12 followed by Kylie Haiar with nine. Jersey Kampshoff marked 25 successful set assists. Claire Bridge had two aces in the match.
Haiar tallied five blocks in the match while Ava Doyle had four. Bridge led the team in digs with 21 followed by Campbell with 14. Cadence Jarding had 12 digs while Kampshoff and Doyle contributed 11 digs apiece.
The varsity Beaverettes’ record now stands at 13-6.
The Hanson junior varsity beat the Cavaliers with set scores, 25-20, and 25-17. Leading the team in kills was Alivia Bender with five kills followed by Taryn Holm with four. Isabel Kayser contributed three kills. Audrina Waldera put up 10 successful set assists. Holm led the team in aces with three.
Defensively, Bender led the team in digs with nine followed by Jozlynn Tegethoff with six. Brooke Endorf added five digs while Holm had four. Kayser and Bender marked two blocks in the match.
The JV team record now stands at 10-0.
The C team lost the battle against the Cavaliers, 25-27.
The C team record is now 2-6-2.
The Beaverettes host Centerville today and will travel to Ethan on Thursday, October 10, to play the Ethan Rustlers.
