On Tuesday, September 17, the Hanson high school cross country team competed in the Viborg-Hurley Cougar Invitational at Swan Lake Christian Camp in Viborg.
In the varsity girls’ division, Elliott Abbey placed first overall with a time of 23:05. Tenly Slaba placed seventh with a time of 27:27.
In the varsity boys’ division, Carson Ferry placed fifth with a time of 20:19. Anthony Geist crossed the finish line in ninth place with a time of 21:39. Will Jarding finished the race in 20th place with a time of 25:25.
In the junior varsity boys’ division, Elias Bumgardner finished with a time of 20:52.
The Hanson cross country team ran at the Freeman Invite in Freeman on Wednesday, September 18 and competed in the Cornbelt Conference Cross Country Meet at Irene on Wednesday, September 25.
